Sermon Series: Souled Out

Saturday @ 6:00 PM

Sunday @ 9:00 AM & 10:45 AM

When you played organized sports, had a big test or production coming up, or had to overcome something difficult as a child or even as an adult, there was always a process you had to go through leading up to the moment of truth. That process includes training, studying, or preparing, followed by getting into place to begin, and culminating with actually DOING the thing itself. Some people try to DO without preparing. Others prepare and train only to never actually do. When it comes to the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, Jesus and his disciples followed the process. Jesus taught and prepared them for three years as they joined him in ministry as apprentices, then he brought them to Jerusalem, the place from which they would spread out and take the gospel to the nations, and finally he commanded them to GO. All their training was irrelevant if they didn't get out there and do it. This week at Friendship, we'll look at the process of "Ready, Set, Go" for the disciples, who became apostles. We'll see how God used even the persecution of the Church to get them moving. And we'll begin to see how they took the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Gentile nations. How might Christ be challenging us to do the same in 2019? Has the Great Commission changed at all? Find out this week! We invite you to come and worship with us at any of the services, which are Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 & 10:45 a.m. Join us and be blessed!
